Compared with Plate Beamsplitters, the optical paths of the reflection and transmission of cube beamsplitters are equal. When transmitting, the light will pass through the cube beamsplitter directly when transmitted, have no affect on beam deviation to the cube beamsplitter. The PBS is used to separate S-polarized light and P –polarized light from the incident light. The P-polarized light of the incident light will be transmitted and the S-polarized light of the incident light will be reflected at the angle of 90°.
